We were delighted to receive the news that we have been awarded our first Active Flag. Our sincere thanks to our Co-Ordinating Teacher Ms Fahy, our Active Schools' Committee/School Council and all the teachers for supporting their work. Well done to all the boys and girls in Scoil Mhuire Magherarney for working so hard but also enjoying the process all the way.

Active School Committee- Slogan Competition
As part of its work the School Council's sub committee for Active Schools held a 'Slogan Competition' where each classroom was set the challenge of composing an 'Active School Slogan' for Scoil Mhuire, Magherarney. The slogans were collected and judged by our on-site playschool committee and they selected the slogan composed by Seomra Rang 1 & 2. The slogan is catchy and sums up our thinking about being an Active School!

Every class busied themselves learning our new Active Schools' Slogan and we were ready to warm up our vocal chords before our 'Feel Good Friday, Santa Dash' in December by saying the slogan.
