Sixth Class Graduation
Each year the ending of Sixth Class' time in Scoil Mhuire, Magherarney is marked with a Blessing for the pupils and their parents. This is followed by refreshments for the assembled crowd and an evening where the class group gets to enjoy the friendships they have made over their eight years in Scoil Mhuire, Magherarney.
This is a very important time for Rang a Sé as they prepare for the transition to secondary school and for their parents who see the marking of the end of a significant stage in their son or daughter's childhood.

Sixth Class Graduation 2012
In June 2012, 6th class from Scoil Mhuire Magherarney had a blessing in the school hall. Father Flanagan led the blessing ceremony. The class consisted of Aoife Duffy, Caoimhe Hurson, Clodagh Leonard, Michaela Mohan, Robert Haynes, Jason Mullaney, Aaron Mc Kenna, Laura Hughes, Shona Connolly Mulligan, Victoria Brady, Caoimhe Smyth, Róisín Hamill, Tegan Mc Mahon and Alison Mc Carville. Those present also included our families, Board of Management members and teachers. Parents, teachers and pupils contributed to the blessing with readings and prayers and the entire class performed a farewell song for the assembled guests.
Afterwards we had tea and biscuits along with a couple of poses as well for the cameras! After all that, we went outside to be seated on a minibus to be taken to GR8, Castleblayney. We all chatted away as we waited to get there and enjoyed the company of all our friends on this, one of our last outings as sixth class in Scoil Mhuire, Magherarney. When we arrived, we went in and up to the counter to get our bowling shoes, order our food and to give our names. We were split into two lanes that were right beside each other. We tried very hard and got a bit competitive with each other! Bowling can be a very serious sport!
When we had finished bowling we went to get our food. It was delicious. We then got to play on the arcade games for a short time before going back home on the bus.
We would sincerely like to thank the school, Ms Payne and Ms Fitzpatrick for a brilliant
night out and a lovely way to remember our 8 years in Scoil Mhuire, Magherarney.
