With Covid 19 restrictions still in place we were unable to hold our usual Christmas Celebration however we recorded a selection of songs to entertain everyone and wish our whole school community a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Christmas In Scoil Mhuire
Christmas is a special time in Scoil Mhuire. Every year we get ourselves in the Christmas Spirit by going to a Christmas Panto......."Oh Yes We Do!" It is a real treat to visit a working theatre to see the sets and costumes and of course the actors singing, dancing and performing. It always gets us in the mood as we prepare for our own Christmas Celebration in Magherarney. We see how important it is to really be in character, to project your voice and how facial expressions and gestures really add to the delivery of a line and the audience's understanding.
We hold our Annual Christmas Celebration in Saint Mary's Church which is always followed by an 'After Show Party' hosted in our school by our Parents' Association. This is a special night as it is one of the few occasions when every family from our school gathers together to celebrate.
Every fourth year the celebration becomes even bigger when we hold a concert in our local hall. A great night's entertainment is always guaranteed.
