The first course I attended in DCU was a short course over three Saturdays last May. The course was called Medical Marvels-this was not my first choice, but I learned so much and enjoyed it. The course was really interesting.
In July I did a 5 day course in UCC Cork; this was in Marine Biology and Astronomy. It was so much fun. In Astronomy we made ice-cream out of liquid nitrogen to look like a meteorite. We also learned about the Big Bang and loads of facts about the planets. In Marine Biology we dissected fish and learned loads about marine life. I loved this course so much and was so inspired by this course I would love to be a marine biologist someday.
I have recently completed the Spring course in Zoology at DCU. I loved that the course was for 8 weeks. We learned loads if information about animals and their environment. Parasites were one of my favourite topics as it was so interesting and I was so surprised by how much it involved. We also did a project at home and on the last day we presented it to the rest of the class. I did mine on marine life. I loved this course and it was great to get to know the rest of the class over the eight weeks.
All the courses I have done were so interesting, the teachers were fantastic in every course, they were easy to talk to and had an answer for everything! DCU is a brilliant experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
